Fifty years from now, when people look back, they will probably conclude that November of 2020 was one of the most dangerous months in the history of our country. In many ways, it was one of our finest hours. A record number of Americans showed up to vote as a pandemic raged unchecked (and, officially, unacknowledged). People stood in line for hours, braving the elements and giving a collective middle finger to scurrilous efforts in several states at race-based voter suppression. The LOSER got more votes than any other LOSER in history. But the winner got seven million more votes.
It was actually a surprisingly good election for the Republican Party. They picked up seats in the House of Representatives. They held onto the Senate (for now) and they didn’t lose control of any the statehouses that they had held going into the election. It seemed that Republicans would be pleased with the outcome, but no. The zombies wanted their Svengali and they were willing to tear the country apart to get him.
Having failed in their disgusting attempts at voter suppression, having failed to hold onto the three states (Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan) that gave Trump the victory in 2016, and having lost Georgia(!) and Arizona(!!), many Republicans went just plain nuts. They tried to storm (with assault rifles) facilities where the votes were being counted. They threatened the lives of people who were just doing their jobs. They wanted the Constitution ripped apart, crapped upon, and then burned, all in their maniacal subservience to a vile man who cares only about himself. It was tragic.
November could have been a disaster. State legislatures could have turned their collective back on their sworn duty by attempting to subvert the will of the voters in their state…but they didn’t. Republican governors could have shirked their responsibility by refusing to certify the final vote tallies in their respective states…but they didn’t. And, in a most-pleasant surprise, members of the judiciary (including several appointed to their positions by Trump himself) could have lent a measure of judicial gravitas to the insane arguments…but they didn’t.
That last group was especially impressive. They may have been appointed by Trump (or Bush), but they took their jobs and oaths seriously. They would not put up with any of the nonsense. Rudy Giuliani and his merry band of morons would scream bloody murder about fraud in public, but once they got in a courtroom, that word was never uttered (for fear of contempt charges or even disbarment). At last count, Trump’s legal team had one win in court (moving observers a couple feet closer to the vote count) and 40 losses. In sports, that’s time to take that ass-whuppin’ and go home.
Yet, still they whine and moan and outright lie. I’m reminded that Abraham Lincoln, responding to a weak pro-slavery argument from Stephen Douglas in a debate, once said, “(That) is as thin as a homeopathic soup that was made by boiling the shadow of a pigeon that starved to death.”
We should certainly be gracious winners, but we cannot allow the most ridiculous remarks to go unchallenged. For example:
• My friend Bruce (who has Stage Four Trump Blindness) refuses to call Joe Biden “President-elect.” Bruce twists and turns and contorts himself into positions that a yoga instructor half his age wouldn’t attempt just to keep from having to acknowledge that which we all know.
He’ll say things like “the vote isn’t final (or official) yet” or “the Electoral College hasn’t met.” These are things that I can guarantee he has never said before in is his six decades on this Earth. But he must serve the Grand Putrescence. After the Electoral College meets and give Biden its 306 votes (a “landslide” total, according to Trump), Bruce will probably say, “Well, he hasn’t been sworn in yet.”
That’s lamer than a Debby Boone tribute band.
• Sidney Powell, who got 14 more minutes of fame than she probably deserved, said that a secret cabal of Democrats AND Republicans conspired to cheat Donald Trump out of his coronation. The coup involved members of the fictional Deep State, conspiratorial voting machines, and the entire operation was paid for by a South American dictator who died seven years ago.
That’s dumber than the initial graduating class from Arizona’s first-ever charter school.
• Some guy in South Dakota went berserk at a meeting of a City Council that was considering a mask mandate. He said that Joe Biden was the Devil on Earth and then added, “I’m an American, No government can ever tell me what to do or not do.”
I’m guessing that, while driving on his way to the meeting, he probably stopped at a red light, so there goes that argument.
That’s weaker than Mitch McConnell’s chin.
• The Presidential election of 2020 was always going to be a referendum on Donald Trump. In the end, a cardboard cutout could have won that election. (Some might argue that that’s exactly what happened.)
One of the few people in the world who didn’t understand that was the stable genius who engineered his own colossal defeat. Looking at election results from all around the country, Trump said, “Why are all these other Republicans winning, but I’m not?”
That’s sadder than the movie Old Yeller 2: He’s Still Dead.
This article appears in Dec 10-16, 2020.

Just another lame, waste of space for Tucson Local Media.
I remembered back to the end of the first Obama election when a TV talking head asked Mitch what he thought of his new president, and Mitch bit the “N” word off the tip of his tongue and Replied “that man is not my president”. There’s class for you.
Vote fraud. Prove it didn’t happen.-Eric Swalwell author Russia Russia Russia
Chinese traitor.
I enjoy your column because I always learn something new. I had no idea that Mitch McConnell has a chin.
Biden won 17 less counties than Obama, lost 20-30% of the African American and Hispanic vote and yet received 17 million more votes than Obama in 2012.
Yeah right. Why else would they sensor any reference to the fraud?
Remember Tom, the sensors came for me, and when they were done, they came for thee. Twitter locked Post article exposing Biden family connections to China. And now Swalwell. Who next?
Hey Tommy, 22 states are now aboard the Trump Train. I wonder if it was the additional evidence of fraud, or the Eric Swalwell Chinese connections that encouraged states to come forward. Will Eric be charged with treason and removed? Pelosi knew all about it, so another Senate seat may open. By the way when will Harris resign her seat?
The election is over. The election was open and free and fair. Trump lost. Trump and backers hijacked the word freedom and made sure it only applied to some and not all of us. Trump tried hard to expand his own power, but he failed in the end. Trump caused his own downfall because he could not stop an endless cycle of: 1. Make a mistake, 2. Lie about the mistake and, 3. Cover up the mistake – over and over and over, again and again. Biden is no perfect person, but he will respect the US Constitution. Impinging on 1st and 2nd amendment rights does not happen with Democrats in office.
How naive.
States like CA, NV and others intentionally mailed to duplicates, non-residents and dead people. Why? It sure looks like an attempt to facilitate fraud.
Then in early 2020, Eric Holder announced “Republicans are going to cheat to win.”
That set off alarm bells. Democrats always scream accusations that the are guilty of.
In 2016, polls showed that 2/3rds of Democrats believed that Russians hacked into our computers and changed votes from Hillary to Trump.
That was insane for a number of technical reasons. Similar accusations of computer hacking this time were almost certainly also insane. Hand counts in Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona matched machine counts.
Does that mean that fraud didn’t happen? Absolutely not. You have to think like a sophistciated bankrobber going after a $200 billion treasure. They wouldn’t attack the machines- way too easily caught.
So, how did the Democrat bankrobbers plan their attack?
1. Democrats set up recycling research firms and contracted with recycling centers to screen the materials in the three weeks before the election on November 3. In Arizona, over one million mail-in ballots went unused, discarded into the recycling bin. That was over 16 ballots per ton of recycling materials.
Value of a mail-in ballot? Over $3,000 per ounce, putting both gold and cocaine to shame.
2. Democrats flooded the volunteer process for poll workers with activists and trained them to vote unused ballots.
3. Democrats identified every mobile home park, apartment complex and condominium complex which distributes their own mail. They used these as centers to divert early ballots and maximize fictitious voting.
4. Democrats infiltrated the information processing centers of Maricopa County and Pima county gaining access to and a copy of the signature files.
5. Democrats contracted with initiative firms and gained access to their massive, statewide signature files.
This is what a bankrobber would organize. Is this what Eric Holder spent 2020 organizing?
We can only know if we expand our current audit of machine counts to audits of polling workers, recycling centers, county data processing centers and private sector mail distribution.
Most likely, the 500,000 new voters in Maricopa County brought their bad habits and unsupported confidence in Democrat governance along with them in their trip from California, Oregon and Washington State.
But, without these audits, we can only congratulate you on stealing an election. Well done.
Don’t give us your spin about “damaging democracy”, give us the reassurance that comes with an audit.
We don’t believe you and never will.

Funny how the left has claimed there was Russian interference in 2016 but there is no way there can be any now.
Full time fool, What freedoms did you lose under Trump?
The US Constitution will get Biden. And his son.
Breaking News-A list of domestic contacts for a joint venture involving Jim and Hunter Biden and now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co. included former Vice President Joe Biden‘s current running mate Sen. Kamala Harris, among other prominent Democrats.
Patiently waiting for that prominent list.
Isn’t it amazing what the media will tell us AFTER an election? Withholding the truth to effect an election outcome is also election fraud. Eliminate 203. Hold them liable.
According to today’s Wall Street Journal: The Federal Bureau of Investigation declined to comment on details of the case involving Ms. Fang, but an official confirmed that the FBI had briefed Mr. Swalwell on the issue. “Congressman Swalwell was completely cooperative and he was under no suspicion of wrongdoing,” the official said.
Georgia’s State House Election hearing just had Garland Favor (third party observer) show six pieces of evidence and he posted:
The Steal Is Real
Recommendations are made to throw out Fulton County results thereby giving Georgia to Trump.
After five weeks of stonewalling and lying they are finally making progress. There was a flood of information that came forward today.
Under these conditions they can not hold a Senate runoff election on Jan 5.
The place where I work has Fox News on 24/7 — which they won’t even allow at Guantanamo because it is a human rights violation — and although it is muted, you can’t escape the barrage of inciteful graphics and politically-loaded language on the “news ticker” displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Ironically, the purpose of having a news channel on is in the event of an emergency broadcast. Unfortunately, Fox News is all politics intended for the eyes and ears of a single-person audience currently residing in the White House. The only emergency Fox News would broadcast is if a UFO landed on the White House lawn and aliens stepped out and presented evidence on Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton and maps of the QAnon-obsessed underground pedophile domain beneath “that” pizza parlor.
I mention this because of an interesting thing about the advertising content posted on the channel. From baseball hats lined with red LED lights to promote hair growth, to every article of clothing imaginable copper-infused to promote mobility, to a host of over-priced gadgets and devices — frequently touted by alleged “combat” veterans — to make life easier, to a plethora of pills, potions and poultices guaranteed to cure things you didn’t even know you needed cures for, and last but not least, the continual ads for pillows, bedding and towels made of foreign textiles sold by a guy that is all about selling made in America products. It is almost as if the advertisers understand something about the people that watch Fox News, like they have a not-so-secret insight that viewers of Fox News are somehow vulnerable to prepackaged bright-shiny objects short on substance but long on hype.
There are a lot of people longing for America to get back to “normal”, but if we have learned anything during the last four years the definition and desirability of “normal” depends on may things, such as race, social-economic status and unfortunately, political party affiliation. Fox News is not helping — not even a little bit.
It reminds me of that bit in the classic movie “The Princess Bride”, where the assassin keeps using the word “inconceivable” and is told that perhaps the word does not mean what he thinks it does.
Getting back to “normal” I do not think that word means what you think it does.
Fox News is way to liberal for me to watch any longer. CANON is much better because they tell the truth about Swalwells girlfriend. She was only 70% Chinese. The other 30% was democrat.
@tdanehy The FBI also told us the investigation of Seth Rich’s murder has provided no clues or evidence. We found out yesterday they have had his laptop with evidence all along.
Why would you ever quote the Comey liars at the FBI? An American disgrace.
Why is it, then, that Fox News paid Seth Rich’s family a seven-figure settlement JUST LAST WEEK to keep Sean Hannity from being deposed in the defamation suit? Fox and Hannity had to retract the story after eight days of on-air falsehoods and now they’ve paid a fortune because of Hannity’s lies about an “explosive” story. Seth Rich died in a street robbery gone bad. There are lots and lots of important things to argue about. Why chase after dumbass conspiracy theories?
@tdanehy That is real intelligent. Why would the FBI admit to now having evidence? If it was a street robbery gone bad, why would the FBI still be investigating it?
I prefer to look at the facts that are available.
Earlier that night he had been at Lou’s City Bar, a sports pub 1.8 miles (2.9 km) from his apartment, in Columbia Heights, where he was a regular customer. He left when the bar was closing, at about 1:30 or 1:45 a.m.[40] Police were alerted to gunfire at 4:20 a.m. by an automated gunfire locator.[39][41] Within approximately one minute after the gun shots, police officers found Rich conscious with multiple gunshot wounds.[42] He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died[43][44][45] more than 1 1/2 hours after being shot.[3] That he was not shot in the head is seen as evidence against an “assassination”.[3] According to police, he died from two shots to the back[37][38] and may have been killed in an attempted robbery. Residents noted the neighborhood had been plagued by robberies.[37] Rich’s mother told NBC’s Washington affiliate WRC-TV, “There had been a struggle. His hands were bruised, his knees are bruised, his face is bruised, and yet he had two shots to his back, and yet they never took anything …
Three hours after he left the bar, on a twenty minute walk? The injuries seem to be more believably caused by kidnap and detainment. Three hour street robbery, where nothing was taken, and two bullets in the back.HMM
Then Wikileaks posts a $125,000 reward, subsequently raised to $280,000 by pothers, but nobody ever claims it. All we have is video of two pairs of legs.
A real conspiracy kook is one that believes, even without two sets of legs, or any evidence, the whole Russian hoax and impeachment against Trump.
Can you imagine how stupid they feel?
Please show me ONE reputable news source that will report that the FBI has Seth Rich’s laptop. Not some crackpot website where y’all pass around gossip and conspiracies, trying to top one another. If I read it in The Wall Street Journal (the most conservative paper in the country), I’ll believe it. Until then, it’s just more crap being thrown at a grieving family. Google “FBI Seth Rich laptop” and what do you get? A bunch of shadowy websites trying to out-OMG! each other. Even shameless Ed Butowsky backed off his baseless claims. I am curious, however. Even if everything you claim is true, what is your point? What’s the endgame?
Why not ask US Assistant Deputy Attorney Andrea Parker why she admitted it?
Reputable news source has become an oxymoron.

You are a liar. Never happened. Give us a link. Show us the clip where Mitch McConnell almost used the “N” word on Obama.
Liar.
Show us one article or one video link where Mitch McConnell said “Barack Obama is not my president”.
Liar.
Go ahead.
We are waiting.
Liar.

This might help expose the fraud even better. It took ten seconds to google it.
People will be going to jail.
Looks like ew now have a replay of the Seth Rich murder.
Harrison Deal worked for Kelly Loefler’s campaign in Georgia. He was dating Gov Kemp’s daughter.
Harrison was killed from an explosion that blew his car apart in Savanah GA. They brought in a federal investigator to determine the cause, a Mr O’sullivan.
Mr O’sullivan was found dead yesterday. It will be ruled a suicide.
Again.
