The Sabino Canyon Crawler Saturday night tours are back.
Night tours of the Coronado National Forest’s Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, 5700 N. Canyon Road.
Sabino Canyon Road will operate Saturday nights from July 4 through Oct. 31. The Crawler is an emission-free, electric shuttle that provides an individual automated narration about the canyon during a 7.4-mile round trip through Sabino Canyon. The narration is available in English and Spanish.
Tickets are $15 for adults but discounts are available. Tickets may be purchased online at sabinocanyoncrawler.com
Shuttle fees do not include the $8 daily or $10 weekly vehicle fee to the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area.

Two wheelchair-accessible Sabino Canyon Crawler electric shuttles, seating up to 62 passengers each, will be in service. Regional Partnering Center (RPC), owner of the Sabino
Crawler shuttle service has a fleet of smaller electric vehicles in service to provide visitors with a cleaner, greener and quieter rides through Sabino Canyon. Depending on demand, visitors may have the opportunity to ride in one of these new 23-passenger electric shuttles.
Safety measures include:
•The first row of seats behind the driver is reserved for passengers with mobility devices, and the seats within the driver cabin area are reserved for Sabino Canyon Crawler employees.
•When rainfall is occurring or has recently occurred in the Sabino Canyon watershed, the Sabino Canyon Crawler will operate on the Highwater Tour, which goes to Stop 2 in Sabino Canyon, and then to the Sabino Overlook and Sabino Dam.
•Passenger compartment windows have been removed from the enclosed vehicles operating on the Bear Canyon/Seven Falls Trailhead Service.
•Cash sales will only be permitted by reserving seats with an on-site shuttle concierge and using the drop box on the south side of the shuttle ticket building. The exact fee is required, since no change can be given.
•All vehicles have public address systems for making emergency announcements.
•For passenger safety, the shuttle will only pick up and drop off ticket holders on the return trip to the visitor center.
The following

•No propane tanks allowed
•No glass containers allowed
• No open containers allowed
Tucson Electric Power provided $2.5 million in capital investment for the Sabino Canyon electric shuttles and electric utility work to support the shuttle system. All contributions were provided from company resources that won’t be recovered through its customer’s rates.
