FUDGIE_GIF.gif

Following up on yesterday’s Fudgie the Whale quest, a different representative of the Carvel corporation swooped in today to crush my dreams. If I’m not willing to drive to Mesa (AND I’M NOT), there will be no Fudgie Fridays here at the Weekly.

Hi Dan,

I wanted to write in regards to your post on Tuesday January 29th, and let you know that Fudgie the Whale is not available through grocery stores. Nick was under the impression this was the case and sadly it is not. None of our signature cakes are available through grocery stores as they are exclusive to our shoppes.

I know that Nick had stated this was the case, and I am truly sorry for any confusion and disappointment this has caused….

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and I will assist you in any way I can.

Thanks,

Melissa A. Smith

The editor of the Tucson Weekly. I have no idea how I got here.

  1. BURNIE: If you know a local establishment that makes cakes that look like whales, I’d be happy to hear that information.

  2. Why does it matter what the cake looks like Mr. Gibson? When you’re body is finished with it you will not be able to tell one cake from the other. Support the locals like BURNIE MAK suggests.
