PiRATe illustration from book 'Rats Incredible'

We’re used to pirates menacing the seas, but evidently, police officers in Omaha weren’t sure what to do when they were faced with a man dressed as a pirate who came at them with his sword.

So they shot him.

That story and more are up this week on Rynski’s Shattered Reality radio show on Party934.com and FM 94.9 in Hudson Valley, N.Y.

Next show is Wednesday, May 11 (today!) and every Wednesday online at Party934.com. Showtime is noon in Arizona, 3 p.m. EST.

Party 934 is a radio alternative for listeners sick of stations that play one song followed by 500 commercials.

Trees, weeds, flowers and other foliage is once again our blooming theme—and don’t worry, we already played Tiny Tim’s “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” last week.

Thanks! to all who keep the song requests coming.

  1. This pains me Rynski…to think one of me own brethren wouldst run afoul of the fine gentlemen in blue due to the dereliction o’ duties o’ me grog keep. Ye see last eve upon
arrival in the port of Omaha…I gave strict orders to me cook Grunion to lock the galley fast, alas, poor Grunny be not the brightest doubloon in the chest m’ dear. ‘E disembarked with ‘is mates to go a wenchin’, leaving the devil’s brew sadly unattended. So, ye see the fault is partly mine. Whenst I gets me hands on the peg-legged son of a sea hag, there’ll be Hell to pay and a keel haulin’ party for ol’ Smilin’ Jack. Fine show ye puts on Miss Gargulinski, I’ll be lookin’ for it whenst I sails these waters again…

  2. hahahahhahahahahhahahahahah! how did i just KNOW you’d dig the pirate story? i picked it especially for you. so glad you are off to teach the bugger a lesson…and i would love a lesson on pirate speak. maybe it would jazz up the show? stay cool and thanks again for listenin’ in!
p.s. keep an eye on that grog in the omaha ports, now!
