Amidst birther bills and immigration clampdowns, Stephen Colbert adds another entry into Arizona Embarrasses Itself Week on last night’s The Colbert Report.

After explaining how the border is “(lined) with the crappiest states,” Colbert said if SB 1070 were to pass, it “will make sure no one will want to live there.”

  2. Gosh, Nick Smith, is it possible that Arizona’s wacko righty poiticians are in a mad-grab, a money-grubbing for Maricopaland’s $$$$ campaign funding? How else to explain to explain all the cuckoo bills coming out AZ Legislature?

  3. Why should we in Arizona care about what others outside the state thinks or believes … I don’t. As far as I’m concerned when they walk a mile in our shoes … then they can talk! Grijalva is an embarrassment to our State of Arizona. It is obvious that this law is needed, the Feds have let us down in the enforcement of our laws! Illegal entrants have to be dealt with and investigated, arrested and prosecuted for any illegal acts they may have committed! A majority of time their illegal entrance into the US and Arizona is not their only crime. I think the bill is a good first step and for their lack of fulfilling their duties … we need to throw the bums out of office. Yes, I mean Rep. Grijalva and Rep. Giffords. We need to replace them in November.   4. Can’t say I’m liking Colbert after these comments. I agree, the bill is awful because it’s unconstitutional to the actual citizens…not every legal citizen looks white as the driven snow! I also disagree with being able to be arrested for not having identification..that’s unconstitutional. BUT, this governor is NOT AZ. I would be THRILLED if all the liberal, and illegal immigrants left, as well as the neo-cons…I would move back to AZ in a heart beat. Shove it Colbert.
