Can they see the smoke from the cities from space?
So, this is what it means to “make America great again” — civil unrest, unbridled white privilege, economic depression, uncontrolled diseases, massive unemployment, media yelling and feeding the fire 24/7 on every platform possible, a federal government incapable of action and afraid of an indifferent president focused on his own victimhood, and a nation spinning out of control with no one at the helm.
Efforts seem to be underway to address what is a symptom of America’s original sin, but after nearly 250 years of deeply engrained hate, fear, distrust, persecution and incarceration, this is going to be a long conversation that a lot of people in America do not want to have.
We had a chance to get it right in 1776 and 1865, but the birth of the nation and the survival of a broken nation made the claim that all men are created equal an impossible promise to keep.
In 2008, the election of a Black President made it seem anything was possible, but that singular event resulted in a resurgence of hatred and bigotry disguised as politics when the opposition promised only one term for this Black President, and many of those making this rancorous vow remain in office today carrying out an agenda that is poisonous to the vision of a better America.
So here we are today. A place where a healthy economy is more important than the health of the people. A place where facts are lies and lies are alternative facts and the high morals and ideals that this nation has strived to realize are reduced to political rhetoric, twisted and ill-used to debase our spirits into tribalism that seeks to rend our union — Out of Many One — to a mindless mob set upon “the other” by evil, small-minded and petty men intend on amassing wealth and power until there is nothing left of the dream that was America.
Who could have dumped all this on Americans so close to an election? Let me think about that.
NASA has been around since 1958. Donald Trump had absolutely nothing to do with the United States getting a rocket to the Space Station. Elon Musk, a true BILLIONAIRE, not a pretend one like Trump, had engineers design and test rockets for many years in order to get a returnable rocket. If anything Trump would have stopped funding for scientific space ventures because he doesn’t know or believe in science and would have preferred to give the money to the wealthy as another TAX CUT so that his corporation would benefit as well. Trump ,like all conservatives, don’t give a damn about science or progress. All they want to do is cheat, lie, and steal all they can to maintain their tenuous hold on America but that chit is about to hit the fan in November.
Who said anything about Trump getting Space X into orbit? Sometimes I think some of you are delusional.
