Dave, wow. Such a confused and misunderstood idea of the civil war. 1: The leaders of the south were not democrats, they were confederates. Before the war, they belonged to different parties. After the war, they became the DixieCrats and caucused with the democrats. 2: They were conservatives and white supremacists. 3: Those conservative families and white supremacists have been republicans for the last 50 years. Ever since the democrats passed the Civil Rights Act. 4: The republicans that were socially liberal or moderate have left the republican party and are now called bluedog democrats.

If you recall he was the Governor of Alabama. My question for you is, what is he most noted for ? What did Hilary Clinton, and Robert Byrd have in common ? Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, was she a Democrat or a Republican. And what was the reason for founding the organization. I know ,I know,….. they were all registered Democrats, but in all reality they were Republicans, RIGHT ? What a ration.

Once the schools change history books they will fall for anything. I would encourage parents with children to leave the public schools asap.
