Only an idiot could believe that the corporate tax increase would not be passed down to the poor. It was always. That’s how democrats sucker punch their supporters every time.
Republicans think you can run a country on hot air. It doesn’t work you lame-brains. Somebody has to pay for the roads, bridges, airports, schools, etc., unless you want your kids grow up with less than you have. Touting Ronald Reagan as a great president is bullshit too. The United States became a DEBTOR-NATION under Reagan, meaning some other country has us by the balls because we spent like crack-whores with nothing to back it up. Republicunt concepts of the ECONOMY are provable-IDIOCY. They have been at the forefront of every Depression/Recession this country has ever faced. Blow it out your ass, you conservative nitwits!
Texas Taxes R Less
How did those low taxes work out for Texas when the temps dropped??
The wealthy.. and big corporations need to pay their fair share. It cannot be done on the backs of the working class alone.
How many of you believe that government regulations themselves are a tax on corporations? Call the COT and ask how much it costs to get commercial sewer hookup with permits and fees. Ask developers how much money is extorted from them to start a housing development.
Many don’t know the truth. But they sure seem able to quantify “fair share.”
The mega-corporations and the mega-rich both pay less than a 5th of what they did back when I was young. Back then we built bridges, libraries, hospitals, schools, the interstate highway system, and other public works projects. Colleges were far more affordable, mail service was good, we could afford meat inspectors. Today, more than 1/4th of the most profitable companies pay zero federal taxes, some like GE haven’t paid any in over 2 decades. Yet somehow, many working class people have been convinced this is a good thing, that their country is falling into disrepair, that they pay a greater share of the tax burden, that they make lower wages with less say in their jobs and what the government does as corporate and billionaire money buys their politicians.
There was a time that republicans supported building roads, etc. and taxing those with the money instead of getting paid off by them. Those days are long gone but we need to return to them or sit back and watch the country sink into a 2nd class nation.
