political cartoons are dangerous and the best are not politically correct.
The NYT pulled their political cartoons because they were shown to be anti semitic and insulting to those of Jewish faith.
Don’t sweat it. I doubt very highly the Times was ever going to publish one of your third rate cartoons.
Editorial cartoons are THE best part of any newspaper, even the NYT. This one, the Claytoon of the Day, is one of my early morning highlights, when I have my first cup of coffee. Thank you Clay Jones for your excellent artwork and editorialization. Today’s is a particularly penetrating one that indicts a very poor decision by the NYT to eliminate a very important part of daily newspapering.
Very disappointed in the Times decision. Political cartoons have been an important part of our “social networking” and First Amendment for over a century. This is political correctness gone wild and simple cowardice to support free speech. This is exactly what the enemies of free speech want. Grow a pair!
Sorry 13. But you’re wrong.
Claytoonz has been published in NYT. More than once even.
You need to brush up on your studies bud. It’s best to investigate the subject before you make a post which makes you look like you didn’t. And, case in point…with this post…it’s a definite that you didn’t.
Don’t judge me CW. I call em as I see em. Even if you and I agree on who The Guitar God is. (Here’s the answer for others who may not understand: Jimi MF Hendrix! CW13 understands that, so should everyone else!)
Hey, at least both of us see that as fact. 🙂 Sincerely, DC

Don’t apologize. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. I may be a right-wing hump, but if I’m wrong I’ll admit it.
It’s almost Aug. 50 years since Woodstock. Seems like yesterday I sat in the mud and watched Jimi tear it up.
Thanks for pointing out my error.

Hendrix learned some of his playing style from Dick Dale who passed away in March. He was called king of the surf guitar. He told me that Jimmi used to sit in the front row of the Rendezvous Ballroom and watch him play. At that time (1961)he had enlisted in the Army. Not sure where he was stationed. I think he was 19 at the time.
That cartoon was simply telling the TRUTH! Too bad so many so-called “Americans” can’t deal with it anymore.
