Democrats have been politically destroyed on the gun control issue. It cost hillary clinton michigan, pennsylvania and wisconsin. Votes not polls decide the gun issue as democrats found out the hard way in 1994. Many terrible things have happened to this country because democrats were defeated on the gun issue and were not in power to protect other issues. You tell yourselves this time its different every time. The 41 swing districts that democrats won were in districts where the 2nd amendment is not a dirty word. It does not matter what elites in the media in california and new york think ;but it does matter what voters in florida, michigan, pennsylvania and wisconsin think. How many time do you have to lose on this issue?
