Medicare is a benefit that is earned by paying a portion of your lifetime wages into and having your employer do the same. Just as is social security.

I said it once, and I’ll say it again. If you want to find out for yourself if socialism is right for the U.S., all you have to do is look no further than to our own back yard to find the answer. We have minority groups in our country that have lived their entire lives depending on government for healthcare, food, shelter. The government provides for them the very bare necessities of life. Their schools are in shambles, the crime rate in their hood, and barrios, is the highest in the country . Their poor white folks live in slums. But they all have one thing in common, they all receive approx. the same amount of money from the welfare system. They all receive the same amount of food stamps, according to the number of their dependents, and they all rely on medicate for healthcare. This ladies and gentlemen, is socialism. Any takers ?
The anti-socialism conservative voices are the loudest when their Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are getting chopped down by congress and they scream at the top of their voice to keep your hands off of my security blankets. Conservatives are like dogs that chase cars. They have no idea why they do what they do, what they expect to get from the chase, or what they plan to do with the car if they manage to catch it.

As far as I know, you may even be a Atheist, or perhaps a Muslim, or a Buddhist, If you stop for a moment, and think about it, all the above mentioned have one thing in common, they all know the difference between right and wrong. We all have a form of religion, it’s called the conscience. So no matter how you look at it, We’er all a bunch of hypocrites. A hypocrite is anyone that judges another and yet he is guilty of the same thing. The very Law that is written in the conscience, will be the one who will bring us all into judgement.
