Yet another incredibly stupid (non-) “joke” based in pathetic ignorance that makes no sense at all.
So what’s the gag here? That the diabolical ICE is choosing the worst possible place to send the detainees? And that all of a sudden the DR qualifies for that moniker just because a couple of white tourists and a retired major league baseball star died (or almost died) there? Ridiculous.
Yes, the DR is a violent place, but the truth is that the home countries the detainees fled–Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador–are even more violent and dangerous, and THAT’S THE F&#%ING POINT. They came here seeking asylum from that violence! (Violence that was a direct result of U.S. foreign policy, but hey, never mind that bit.)
What the diabolical U.S. government actually does is send them back to their own countries where their lives were already under direct threat, which for a lot of people is a de facto death sentence.
This is just another really STOOPID cartoon from a guy who doesn’t really understand politics anywhere near as well as he thinks he does, and therefore draws a lot of really stoopid cartoons.
It’s been obvious for quite awhile now that under this administration ICE is definitely trying to do their damndest to inflict as much pain and suffering on those seeking asylum as they think they can get away with. We have seen a hundred examples of this over the last 12-18 months. From cramming kids ripped from their parents into dog kennels to having 10 month to 6 y/o kids defending themselves in court hearings, it’s been one insult to American values after another.
