Have you guys seen the trailer to this new British film titled Shrooms? Not sure how the movie will be, but the trailer is hyterical.

Who knew there was a movie in the making about taking shrooms? The studio Web site is even better and even includes a list of shroom precautions.

I am there…
There really isn’t enough drug use in movies. Seriously. They either avoid it due to conservative backlash, or they get the depiction totally wrong and try to make it all about flashing lights, quick editing and canted frames. That’s not shrooming — that’s MTV-ing.
A talking cow is a good start.
The best depiction of mushroom use I’ve ever seen was during an episode of “The Simpsons” when Lisa drinks from the Duff’s Beer river and sees trails coming off the hands she’s waving in front of her face.
Another good drug-use depiction was during the movie “Go.” The tripping character’s hallucinations begin with a cat telepathically telling him that he will die.
“Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” also gets a few scenes right, espeically the lobby carpet that twists and morphs.
By the way, in case you were wondering, shrooming and MDMA are both really big on college campuses right now. Everybody has access to everything. The war on drugs is a joke.
