I promise that I didn’t create this Tumblr collecting “not racist, just asking” references on Twitter to White History Month, but I appreciate that it exists.
I might just set up a Twitter feed that auto-responds to all these clowns that there isn’t a White History Month because in most American schools, every month is focused on “white” history. It’s like when my kids complain that there isn’t a Children’s Day to go with Mother’s and Father’s Days. I have to hold back from yelling that EVERY DAMN DAY IS KID’S DAY. Sigh.

I suppose that’s one way to see it. I was personally shocked that no one jumped up to say, “Wow, that’s an unbelievably insensitive and somewhat bigoted thing to say”, but I suppose that’s why I’m not an Arizona legislator.
Cmon Dan do you really have to hold back yelling at your kids? Have you forgotten what its like to be a kid? Every damn day is not kid’s day, in fact outside of vacations most days are NOT kid’s days. School, chores (manual labor for peanuts yup), wearing clothes your parents bought you, homework, a-hole brothers, eating what you don’t like, showering next to other kids during your awkward years, lugging around a ton of books every day and ruining your back before you are even out of your teens, early bedtimes and mean girls SUCK.
