Well, it wouldn’t be a Republican primary if Sarah Palin didn’t somehow get involved.

Robert Mayer, the former Tucson Tea Party activist who is now backing Jonathan Paton in the Congressional District 8 race against Jesse Kelly, has posted two videos in which Kelly busts on St. Sarah for endorsing too many moderates.

Kelly responds via email: “Taping me will still not distract voters from Paton’s record of voting for big-spending budgets and against tort reform.”

Espresso Pundit wonders if it’s enough to bring Sarah to CD8 in support of Paton. Even the right Facebook post could be the game changer the former state lawmaker needs in a tight race that will decide the Republican nominee to face Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. It would surely get the TV stations to pay attention to the race on the final weekend.

Mayer’s second video after the jump.

  1. He’s exactly right. I feel the same way and I dare say, most Americans do too. If you don’t believe it then poll it.

  2. I guess Jesse Kelly the college dropout feels that it’s OK to talk down to someone like Sarah Palin who has done more in her life than he ever will. Talk about arrogance.

  3. Best selling author. Governor. Mayor. Vice presidential nominee. Conservative idol. 2.5 million facebook followers. Mother of five. Wife. Care act. Need I say more.

Sarah Palin is more than Jesse Kelly could ever hope to be.

  4. PLUEEEZZZ!! Jesse is not speaking for conservatives, he is speaking for fanatics. I am a conservative born and bred–and funny thing is Republicans are CONSERVATIVES-not necessarily vice-versa. Sarah Palin is one super lady and garnered more interest for political activism than anyone has done in a long time. Jesse definitely owes her an apology-preferably on local TV networks not the Jesse Kelly Wake up Tucson Show.

    GO SARAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I Don’t see a “Diss” about Sarah Palin in these Videos. Every Single Person in this Room was there to hear Jesse Kelly Speak at a Meet & Greet. They All wanted to hear Jesse Kelly’s Open, Honest and Direct Answers to their Questions. That’s Exactly what I see Jesse Kelly doing in these two Videos. So where’s the harm? What Foul did Jesse Kelly Commit?
Jesse Kelly’s Answer was Open, Honest and Direct. It was also HIS Personal Opinion. That’s what the People came to hear Him say. Not some Politician’s Answer. Jesse Spoke from the Heart. Isn’t that what Most people Want from their Candidates running for office these days? I Know that’s what I want. Vote Jesse Kelly if You haven’t already done so already.

  6. Jesse Kelly doesn’t owe anyone an apology. That’s rediculous. This is a Free Country & I’m Sure Sarah Palin Wouldn’t even be bothered by another American’s Opinion about her. Sarah Palin is a Tough Lady. I Like Her & Respect her Tremendously. With all of the Negative Press and Personal Attacks by David Letterman, Bill Maher and other Vicious Libs Always taking their pot shots at her, these Comments wouldn’t even register on Palin’s Radar Screen. Even if they did somehow catch her attention, she’d laugh it off and say “More Power to ya Jesse!” Jesse Kelly is a Conservative Republican but does that mean he has to kiss each and every single Republican’s Behind to get somewhere within the Republican Party? Isn’t that what We Don’t want to send to Washington? Jesse Kelly is an Independed Free Thinker Who thinks for HIMSELF. That’s what I saw in these Videos. Vote for Jesse Kelly if You haven’t done so already!

  7. Jeremy is right! Jesse Kelly spoke from the heart. He believes that Sarah Palin has no political courage and is a disappointment — this, despite the hatred that she receives from the Left every single day.

She has done more already than Jesse Kelly ever will!

  8. Obviously the “SPIN” on this Site is getting alittle too thick to be beleivable. What does it matter what Jesse Kelly thinks of Sarah Palin Right Now anyways? She’s Not in an Elected Position. Some Political Experts think she may never run for public office again after what she recieved from the Media through her VP Run with McCain. Sarah Palin is a solid Conservative. I Like her. I somehow think that she’s enjoying being a Regular on FOX NEWS. She likes to mix it up with her comments. I think she may just end up being a commentator the rest of her Public Life. What’s wrong with that? I Find her Extremely Entertaining & Funny. Her Conservative Positions that she takes are Usually Close to My Own. Jesse Kelly can think & Say whatever he wants to about Sarah Palin. That’s the Great thing about America….We all have Freedom & Liberty Protected by Our Constitution. God Bless America. Vote Jesse Kelly if You haven’t done so already.

  9. A meet and greet is a forum for candidates to introduce themselves to potential supporters. The attendees ask questions to gauge how the candidate stands on the issues important to them. The only way we can know that the responses from the candidate are “open and honest” is to do our own research. Jesse himself said he was “not Jesus and did not walk on water”. I attended this event and questioned Kelly on his email to Corporation Commissioner Bob Stump in which he said he has “a great passion for politics and conservatism and would like to begin a political career”. He did not deny that email but all through the evening he stated he was not “looking for a political career” which is completely the opposite of what he said in the email! I do not see honesty there.

  10. @Cathy, I have questions about his integrity as well! I also have serious doubts about his leadership capabilities. His resume doesn’t reflect a great deal of experience. Here is my assessment of his experience:

Education: High School Grad … College Dropout Freshman Year
Military Service: 4 Years USMC as a Mortarman Honorably Discharged
Work Experience: 4.5 Years Project Manager for his dad’s Construction Company
1.5 Years seeking public office US House of Representatives

Did I miss anything? I don’t think so! So, what in the world makes one thing he is qualified to hold a position of trust with Arizona’s Congressional District #8 Constituents … Good at sound bites?

  11. To Del, don’t assume Kelly is a high school graduate. He has refused to release his high school transcripts. Kelly has refused to release his full military performance evaluation. What is he hiding?

For the eighteen months, kelly has been subsidized by his father’s firm while he campaigned full time. Yet, he has failed to report this money on his financial statements.

His father’s firm is a pig at the public trough of earmarks and stimulus money. By definition, Kelly cannot be a conservative while participating in this largesse.

There are character and integrity issues with Jesse Kelly. And the voters know it.

  12. The prediction is that Paylin will end up being a sort of tent revival evangelical speaker. That’s her audience and the only people that will stay with her and continue to pay out to her until the Bitter Quitter’s even more bitter end. She’ll pass the collection plate, discuss God’s plan, get some shopping in and then fly on to the next tentfull of deluded worshippers. There will be quiet whispers among themselves of her next run in 2016.

In a way, that’s already happening. She’ll run for Prez in a few primaries because it will forever after allow her to be introduced as “The only Conservative Mama Grizzly that ever ran for President!” which will prop up the increasinly odd fact that a few media personalities still refer to her as “Governor” to please her. She’ll quit in the primaries, but the new “accolade” will be worth another book deal, a last windfall of political donations, a few TV appearances and so on. No matter what happens to her, it will generally always be Obama’s fault.

  13. Well, Palin is batting a big fat zero in her endorsements for the last month or longer. Endorsement for GA Gov. – lost. Endorsement for WY Gov. – lost. Endorsement for WA Senate -lost. Please Sarah, endorse Paton.
