The UA College Republicans are teaming up with Smart Girl Politics to host a debate between the four Republicans running against Democratic Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Congressional District 8 candidates Jonathan Paton, Jesse Kelly, Brian Miller and Andy Goss will be onstage at 7 p.m. tonight in the Kiva Room of the UA Education Building, 1430 E Second St.

Four Republican men seeking to “get rid of Gabby” and the CD 8 voters need to differentiate between them. Paton is clearly the most qualified as a politician (five years), Kelly exudes passion & outspokenness (especially about that double/triple border fence with Mexico), Miller appears to be the “intellectual”, more moderate one, and Goss is quite humorous and candidly honest, saying he “answers to no one”. But who is the best to face off with Congresswoman Giffords after August 24? That’s up to these College Republicans and their party.
