The audience members at today’s Tea Party-sponsored debate among the Republican candidates in Congressional District 8 picked Jesse Kelly as the winner. Kelly got the votes of 78 audience members, while 56 liked Jonathan Paton and 37 liked Brian Miller. Andy Goss, who was unable to attend, got three votes.

Kelly also won the straw poll at the Ironwood Ridge High School debate back on February 11. He maintains his popularity among the attendees.
I hope the people of Arizona’s Congressional District #8 give a serious look at all the Candidates … I really don’t think the Green Valley Tea Party is representative of all of the District. Also, if they look at Jesse Kelly in depth … they will find he doesn’t have any depth! He’s sort of like a used car salesman in my opinion. He’ll say anything and do anything to get elected … much like Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. I would encourage you all to check out Brian Miller allot closer.
I can see why everyone would love Kelly to win … he would be the easiest person to beat as some of my friends from the Giffords camp have expressed to me.
Note: Less than half the attendees actually voted. And that half is mostly made up of staff and supporters who came specifically to vote for their candidate. The majority left undecided.
