Republican Martha McSally continued to lead Democratic Congressman Ron Barber by 317 votes after Pima County finished counting a batch of about 16,000 ballots today.
Another 2,000 early ballots in Pima County remain to be counted, along with roughly 10,000 provisional ballots that may or may not be valid, according to Pima County spokesman Mark B. Evans. There’s no estimate as to how many of those ballots are in Congressional District 2.
Cochise County is wrapping up the processing of 1,100 provisional ballots.

Another wild card that showed up prominently in today’s batch of ballots: not all of the Pima County ballots are in Barber’s district–a lot of them are in Grijalva’s district. Today’s ratio of non-Barber-district ballots was higher than yesterday, therefore he gained fewer votes.
However, all of Cochise is in the district, therefore all of the remaining Cochise ballots that are valid will benefit McSally, on average, since she stomped him 2-1 there.
The outcome depends on how many of those remaining provisionals are valid in each county, and how many of the Pima ballots are in the district. I think the remaining ballots might be a wash–they’ll balance each other out.
I’ll put the over-under at McSally by 250.

His great claim to fame is his 8 Looney tunes who often in past were seen with him burning Mexican flags in public, or the incident where he assaulted a child a 15 year old Hispanic boy for daring to video tape his 8 member posse of racists!

In 2006 there were 15,000 pro-raza- racists in Armory Park, waiving Mexican Flags and demanding amnesty. THEN 15 of us burned 2 Mexican Flags, and shouted “Viva Zapata, long live the Mexican Revolution, in Mexico!”
Each year thereafter we burned MORE Mexican Flags, said, “Cesar Chavez went to jail OPPOSING Mexican Illegal Farm Workers” and fewer “pro-raza” marchers returned to Armory Park.
Finally, on May 1, 2012 less than 200 “pro-raza” racists marched to Armory Park.
