With Pima County tabulating another 8,400 or so ballots in the CD2 race today, Democratic Congressman Ron Barber closed some of the gap that Republican Martha McSally opened up earlier today when Cochise County results came in. McSally now leads the race by 1,293 votes.
Pima County Recorder F. Ann Rodriguez delivered another 23,500 early ballots to the elections department for counting and she will begin verifying about 10,000 provisional and conditionally provisional ballots tomorrow. An unknown number of them are in CD2.

The fix is in. I am so embarrassed by the election shenanigans in this county after all the money they have wasted promising us state of the art results.
With a 36% turnout we have the same number of votes cast in the 60s and they were hand counted faster.
Shame on PC elections. We can not tolerate this.
They will keep counting the ballots until Ron Barber is in the lead.
I have to agree that we will count and continue counting under Barber wins. The next thing that will happen is Gabby Giffords will come to Tucson to show her support and gather some compassion for old Ron. I understand the vote is getting closer – 2 votes for Ron and 1 for McSally . Yhis will continue under Ron wins.
WE need someone to come in and SUPERVISE these Cheats!! Enough of this ELECTION FRAUD!!! But it sure aint the Demo-Feds!
There’s nothing quite like misplaced anger first thing in the morning. Please settle down GuiseppeKnowsNothing.
If Holder has any of his poll monitoring thugs observing, you can count on Barber winning the election, regardless of the actual count. He has them in Va., and it was reported that thousands of illegals voted in precincts where ID wasn’t being asked for. The recount will hopefully(if there are independent monitors there) show all of the voter fraud going on.
If a new haircut gets McSally elected, then I guess she got more money from outside the district than Barber did. But it doesn’t mean that we like outsiders and their ideas moving in and working to keep the poor in Tucson from voting.
It’s a Republican district. No big surprise here. Barber talked tough on the border but whenever he had a chance to put his vote where his mouth is, he voted for amnesty. It’s too bad. I’d still prefer him to a Republican (who will likely sell out American workers at every opportunity too). At least McSally looks like a Kolbe style moderate.
It really sucks when they cannot get the ballots counted sooner. I just hope MCSally does not win. She will trash the people she represents. Her only agenda is that of the Koch brothers, who is funding her. Across this nation voters are selecting the more radical and extreme candidates. This will just bring down our nation. Barber has done a great job and also Pres Obama has a great record, he recovered this nation from the G. Bush trashing. The Economy is the best in decades, jobs are recovering, the new AHC insurance. He has done a lot for the people. The Democrats have failed Obama by not talking about all his accomplishments, they allowed the GOP to LIE< LIE< LIE.
Sam, did you see the POTUS yesterday in his post apocalypse press conference?
Americans have regurgitated trickle up poverty from a neighborhood organizer/attorney that can’t tell the truth. They want to return to trickle down economics because he has shown no leadership skills and little economic sensibility.
Pelosi said the elections results prove vote suppression. I have to agree. Nobody would vote for them again and they artificially suppressed their own votes.
Lawyers don’t make leaders.
Learn to recognize a lie when you hear it.
It’s interesting that certain McSally supporters assert that if she loses, it must be fraud, and not the legitimate choice of the voters. Is there any factual evidence of elections being rigged in Pima County?
Yes. Google RTA Pima County.

Here is a different twist on voter fraud
another great article:
Election Fraud: The Problems are Inside. The Solutions are Outside.
John Brakey became an elections investigator shortly after an eye-opening experience as an elections observer in 2004. In his home county in Arizona, pollworkers were “stacking the vote” by using a phony provisional list. When Brakey questioned the pollworkers about their procedure, the pollworkers suggested they “take a look in the back room.” In this largely Hispanic district a few die-hard Republicans (re-registered as Democrats) apparently had in mind their own brand of democracy and were ready to “beat it into John Brakey.”

Folks…100% of the vote supposedly has been talled and McSally held onto pretty much a 1,293 lead. So when is Barber going to concede. McSally showed much more class and grace in 2012 than Barber is showing 2 years later.
OMG. When will I learn, reading the low IQ comments on TW is an unproductive use of time and kills brain cells. Have a nice day.
Any reports about the discrepancy found in the vote by mail and provisional ballots (what they are counting now) compared to those who voted at the precincts? Remember the extreme measures taken to prevent a proper hand count audit after the elections including the need to separate vote-by-mail ballots by precincts? This is part of what caused Mickey Duniho’s resignation from the Pima County Election Integrity commission. Gore Vidal’s last book title comes to mind, “The United States of Amnesia”.
100 % of the precincts have reported. But not all the ballots have been counted. IMHO, every time McSally was asked a question, she usually responded by bitching about Barber. Not the stand she would take on the issue. Two years ago, she answered and sounded like a Tea Partier. She came back this year with better hair and clothes. And a new spiel which basically told us nothing of how she’d vote. She was either hiding that she’s turned into a moderate. Or that she still thinks along tea party lines. I think the latter is more likely.
Sam Smith, you seem to prefer the lying tactics of those supporting Barber over the lying tactice of those supporting McSally.
