This has to be a parent’s second or third worst nightmare.

Roger Triantafilo‘s son was attacked by a dog roaming the neighborhood. Luckily, Triantafilo was able to capture the incident on multiple surveillance cameras. The madly violent canine grabbed the boy by the leg while he was riding his bike. But the family cat attacked the dog before he could do any real damage. This is the kind of shit that only happens in the movies or Saturday morning cartoons.

The video says the boy was stitched up and he’s doing fine.

The cat’s name is Tara, according to KERO Bakersfield.Tara deserves the key to the city, or a Friskies commercial.

Eat your careless heart out, Grumpy Cat.

  1. Great story and video. But I question whether the dog was “rabid” as there is no mention of that in the linked Bakersfield story. If the dog had rabies, the boy would require shots rather than just being stitched up.

  2. Actually the word rabid can be used to describe behavior. I think of very focused, vicious and crazy like a rabid animal.

  3. Why was a dog loose in the neighborhood? The worse culprit is the owner who should not have animals. I do hope the owner was ticketed and made to pay for the stitches. Bad Dog! Badder Owner!!!!
