I hear that Cartel Coffee Lab at 2502 N. Campbell Ave. is expanding into a full-service restaurant. An employee said yesterday that the place could be serving food sometime before the end of the year.
I love Cartel Coffee Lab – which by the way, is a fantastic name – and anticipate great things once it starts offering food. A quick internet search also shows that the owners have applied for a liquor license. Good times.

Yeah sorry, I dont get the “fantastic name” thing either.
My experience has been quite the contrary, I was treated rudely & belittled in front of other customer’s when I asked a question about the menu & how to read it. Needless to say, I was completely embarassed and left never to return without even trying the coffee. This was when they 1st opened & would think them to be more accomodating being a new business. I later inquired as to who the gentlemen was that did that & I was lead to believe the it was one of the owners. Hard to say.
Cartel is my family’s coffee joint of choice. Excellent coffee, great staff and good location. Glad to see that it’s doing so well.
