Correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like KGUN 9 has removed the link to Jennifer Waddell’s gay-sex piece, which I wrote about in this week’s issue. What a weasely thing to do, if that’s actually the case.
Don’t get me wrong, the story was campy dreck and deserved to be incinerated. But they wouldn’t even discuss with me whether it met all their standards for journalistic excellence. It makes me wonder why they broadcast it in the first place, if they can’t stand by it after the fact.
This article appears in Feb 8-14, 2007.

It does appear that they removed the link. However, I did find a cached version via the internets here:

Sort of off the main thrust of Saxon’s article, but Waddell says in her taped report that children can easily get to this stuff via the men seeking men area (same with Casual Encounters), but check it out:
“craigslist > men seeking men > warning & disclaimer
unless all of the following points are true, please use your “back” button to exit this part of craigslist:
1. I am at least 18 years old.
2. I understand men seeking men may include adult content.
3. I agree to flag as “prohibited” anything illegal or which otherwise violates the craigslist terms of use.
4. By clicking on the links below, I release craigslist from any liability that may arise from my use of this site.
men seeking men”
The same is on men seeking women, women seeking men (where I browse), and even Missed Connections – craigslist’s equivalent to “I saw you”
I mean, it’s true that it the content is one click away, and clicking operates on the honor system (just like how beer companies have you tell them your “real” birthdate to get into their web sites), but it’s not like warnings about explicit content are non-existant.
Clicker beware.
Is it possible they only leave their videos up for a week? I don’t know.
I don’t have Microsoft’s Media Player installed on this laptop, so I can’t check easily, but is this an update to their story?
