Artistic collaboration found an easy groove with ZZZ Collective, a cannabis accessory brand that was established in the East Coast. It was 2020, an era marked by lockdown and a subsequent need for artistic survival. The company’s founder and CEO, Eric Sellow, while completing his senior year at Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, was eager to create a cannabis accessory brand that highlighted the vision of artists, while giving them the creative agency over their own visions.

Sellow grew up with a green thumb of sorts: He spent his childhood helping his family’s garlic business by selling bulbs at local farmers markets. While in high school, Sellow moved on to creating a firewood delivery service that provided goods to neighbors and nearby communities. Entrepreneurship was natural for Sellow, and it only made sense to continue alongside a new and booming industry.

Sellow was inspired by the explosion of the cannabis market that followed Massachusetts’ legalization of recreational cannabis in 2016. He was inspired by the impact of independent artists, and how their work could find an integral place within the booming cannabis industry.

Now, the brand has ballooned into an artist-forward collective that showcases unique work from small artists. Grinders, rolling papers, rolling trays, cones, stash jars and apparel, all decorated with vivid and eye-catching work; all designed by small artists. Since its inception, ZZZ’s Collective has given $100,000 back to small artists, and has supported over 25 independent artists. ZZZ’s Collective is available for purchase in Arizona.
