You know those sick people who have been taken off the transplant list in Arizona because Gov. Jan Brewer and GOP lawmakers cut the funding for the program? Turns out it’s not a big deal, according to Brewer, who said today the media were just blowing the story out of proportion. Yep, it’s all the media’s fault. Or Obama’s fault. Or Napolitano’s fault. Or something. Just don’t blame her or the Legislature.

  1. Well, they could be like the rest of the Liberals, and continue to blame everything on George W. Bush. Would you prefer that?

  2. As to the economy and housing market Bush and his de-regulate everything robber-baron Republican buddies gleefully destroyed, that would be appropriate. As to the jobs sent overseas, that would be Globalization, the One-World Corporate vision. As to the responses to economic disaster and unemployment in Arizona (huge budget deficits, with corporate tax breaks while giving sick people a death sentence and turning down Federal assistance to keep them alive, no, that would be out heartless Governor Brewer.

  3. kbartram,
We don’t blame everything on W. Just the stuff he actually caused. Problem is he caused a great deal of our current problems.

I also blame Regan for starting the big deregulation trend and Clinton for continuing it. I now even blame Obama for not doing the right things to fix it.

I will not be voting for Obama again precisely because I am a liberal. If that means Mama Gristley becomes president and the whole world slides into a second great depression, then so be it. The idiots in the republican electorate who keep voting against their own best interests need to see the true result of supporting the real elitists who put corporate interests above all others.

True liberals believe in principles, not just ensuring that “our side” wins as most republican voters seem to be focused on, regardless of the outcome.

  4. Governor Brewer wake up! even one person losing his/her life due to being dropped by off the transplant list at your signature request to save a few bucks is not out of proportion. I would hate to be one of the families that lost or will lose a loved one due to your heartless changes and have just read this article saying “it’s being blown out of proportion”. Grow a heart, stop and think before you open your mouth, you are talking about people’s lives.
