Sharon Lin, of parts unknown, has once again warned Range readers that she will not be retiring to Tucson.
We’ve previously covered Lin’s many threats to not move to Tucson here:
Tucson real-estate agents beware: Sharon Lin is not going to buy a house in Tucson.
The retired schoolteacher has made it clear, in a series of comments on Tucson Weekly stories that date back eight months, that she won’t be retiring to Tucson.
Lin’s most recent comment came in respose to the reelection of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and Congressman Raul Grijalva.
“Well, I certainly don’t want to wake up every morning and read the news about these two while drinking my organic bird-friendly coffee,” Lin wrote. “I think I’ll just visit the desert for a few weeks in the spring to catch the spring flowers and bird migration, but buy my house and just live somewhere else.”
It was the ninth time since April 10 that Lin has declared that she won’t buy a home here.

Where can I post my pleasure that this woman isn’t retiring here?
Apparently, Tucson is still on her list of retirement locations as she keeps sending messages threatening she will not retire in Tucson. That is ok.
Good. One less whiny person moving here is always a positive.
Awesome.. I’m glad! There is a place for her though. Maricopa would be a great place for her!
I doubt she’s a real person. Sounds more like a double-secret right-wing letter-writing campaign that triggers off a list of Foxnewsy events and could even be automated.
I dunno though – even an automaton should know enough to change the name once in a while. I guess she’s real after all. It makes me sad that there are people that sad out there.
I love it.. Thank you, Tucson Weekly, for a great laugh. It is interesting. This woman seems fixated on informing us of what’s wrong with Tucson. I understand, how disappointing it must be to have really wanted something, only to have all your hopes broken to pieces. I love Tucson, and I think it is a fantastic place to live. I actually pity her, having to live in DC, the winters there are so cold, everyone wears black and shades of gray there, it must be the lack of sunshine that keeps her so miserable such that she must on the one hand long for Tucson, and then on the other hand despise it.
She must believe that she is a person whose presence would be missed. I wonder if she if right?
Hooray!!!!!!
Sounds like she will be happier in Maricopa where they only have headless bodies and no nasty sheriffs.
I can’t imagine this is news , but I do recognize it as entertainment. Not real sure the average ‘working stiff’ wants to think she’s threatening to ‘bless us ‘ with another retiree . Tucson is a place apart from anywhere , and what she cannot recognize is illustrating in itself . Let us count our blessings.
Let deficit reduction start with M/M Lin. I hope they get early retirement to any where but here.
