There’s not a whole lot more to be said. The arguments have been argued. The allegations have been allegated (That should probably be “alleged,” but it turns out “allegate” is a real word, so I’m sticking with it). Now it’s time for people who haven’t voted to become voters, and VOTE!
Want to cast your ballot Monday? Go to any of three locations between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Downtown, 240 N. Stone Ave.
South side, 6550 S. Country Club Road.
East side, 6920 E. Broadway.
If you still have your mail-in ballot, DON’T MAIL IT! Drop it off Monday at any of the locations above, or at any polling place on Tuesday. Any polling place, it doesn’t have to be yours. Don’t wait in line. Just walk up and turn it in. If you have any questions where it goes, ask one of the poll workers.
On Tuesday, polling places are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you’re in line at 7 p.m, you’ll be allowed to vote. Bring valid I.D. (A valid drivers license is fine, as well as a number of other forms of identification. Check here if you don’t know what will be accepted).
Don’t know where your polling place is? Type your address on this Pima County site and find out where to vote.
WARNING. No electioneering within 75 comments of this post. Violators will be, well, they’ll be violating what I asked them to do, and that would be wrong.
This article appears in Nov 3-9, 2016.

Considering that you’ve frequently violated what MANY of your readers have asked you to do — i.e., to provide something resembling reasonably complete and accurate coverage of the local education governance issues you have often tried to address in your blog — I am wondering why you think your request to commenters will be or should be heeded any more than commenters’ requests to you have been heeded.
Here’s hoping voters will cast votes that will secure better leadership in the governance of our largest local school district, in spite of your conspicuous and chronic failures to provide the kind of information voters need about the incumbent candidates’ actions in office and / or their plans for the district’s future.
Vote R? OK but I thought you were promoting the Ds.
Did I strike a nerve Safier that you had to delete my post?
Maybe you and your fellow male liberals should consider hormone therapy.
What, Again: I deleted your comment because it, like most of the comments you post, violated our comments policy.
http://www.tucsonweekly.com/tucson/Comment…
To be fair, my comment was directed to those male liberals who are voting for the criminally corrupt Hillary.
And to you, Chelo Grubb. I’ve read your policy. You seem to be interpreting it as anything that disagrees with liberals.
Here’s my comment – maybe you could point out exactly how it violated the policy.
“Will liberal men actively submit their testicles to Hillary or will they simply not show?”
Has the Weekly been so totally feminized that testicles are no longer allowed?
Surely you don’t consider that obscene when on this very paper you publish pictures of nudes with breasts and penises and openly talk about vaginas.
Your comment was deleted for sexism and bigotry (the second bullet point of our comments policy), not obscenity. A reader reported it and I agreed that it violated our terms. Simple as that.
Chelo – sexism is defined as “prejudice, stereotyping or discrimination, typically against women on the basis of sex”. I said nothing about women. Are you inferring that I was sexist against men? Maybe you should re-read, I specifically said liberal men who may vote for Hillary.
And what bigotry? Are liberals now a protected class? You mean anything said against the liberal mantra will be considered bigotry, no difference of opinion allowed?
Have you read any of Danehy’s articles in the last couple years? Is “bigotry” against conservatives or Republicans not bigotry to your standards but dare speak ill of liberals – not allowed!
And as far as your comment accusing most of my posts violating the policies, pretty cheap shot especially from someone with so much disdain for freedom of speech. I dare you to point out ANY comment where I have used bigotry, sexism or racism. Unless of course you now consider illegals another protected class.
You’ll notice that most of the comments you leave remain on the website—despite being reported by readers. I’m a lot more lenient on what stays up in the comment section than a lot of our readers and my editors would like.
And while I do fully support your right to free speech, that doesn’t mean I’m obligated to leave everything you or anyone else posts up on our website.
As much as I’d love to stay and chat about what makes a statement sexist and other violations that pop up in the comments frequently, we’re on a production deadline and I’ve got work to do. Besides, this comment thread is supposed to be about Safier’s post, not my comment removal process. Feel free to direct any further concerns at my inbox: chelo@tucsonlocalmedia.com
This is not against Chelo, in fact probably supports her, but what was said.
“despite being reported by readers. I’m a lot more lenient on what stays up in the comment section than a lot of our readers and my editors would like. “
Liberal fascism is very real and alive, right here in Tucson.
Conservative fascism is very real and alive in the small, black, ice coated heart of What, Again.
Two comments, one partisan and one not.
1. Suffragettes, who faced beatings, arrests, and even imprisonment to secure the right to vote, have to be rolling over in their graves at the thought of women prostituting themselves and their cause by voting for Hillary.
2. However, remember this. Whoever wins will have garnered far less than 50% of the popular vote, and in no way can claim anything resembling a mandate.
In my book this is a positive thing. Both parties have in the past, when they presumed a mandate, reaped destruction of some sort on the American people. I would be happy with gridlock the next four years, and if that means only having 8 Supreme Court Justices, so much the better. It puts lawmaking back on the lawmakers/voters, which is where it belongs.
Given what we know about the Suffragettes and their commitments and values, we might venture to guess that many of them would have been proud to vote for Jill Stein.
They wouldn’t have been surprised that almost 100 years after the passage of the 19th amendment, there are still battles to be fought — like the battle to restructure the system to get money out of politics or the battle to build viable alternative parties outside of the R and D networks. They would have responded by rolling up their sleeves and getting to work.
Boy, did you get served Wrong, Again.
Chelo took the time to explain to you, logically, why your dumb ass post got removed. Yet you still found a way to lay that blame on those evil liberals. You are truly a piece of work.
P.S.-For this post, work=shit.
Find a way to blame liberalism and feminism on that fact.
Ac-dc – how does it feel to be a eunuch? You’ll never have them again.
Gee Wrong, Again…I’m not exactly sure how it feels to be a eunuch.
Since you’re the one who is the expert, because you definitely lack a pair, write a book on your experiences and I’ll be sure to read it when Amazon has to pay me to take it off their hands.
You’re funny, and no, I don’t mean the smell your funky ass is leaving behind while living and not bathing in your mama’s basement. I mean funny…as in pathetic.
Get a clue. While you’re at it, get some new material for your lame ass posts.
Look at the bright side ac-dc – every ass you have your nose shoved up from today forward will be GREAT – much better than Hillary’s that you had your entire face embedded.
Each post you add shows how much more you don’t know anything. Stay in your mama’s basement and when you get the urge to troll at 4:18 AM, just sit on your hands. You add nothing but negativity to this site, and bad karma to your soul. You are a sad sac(less) of a man. I never supported HRC, if you’d bothered to actually read what I’ve posted, you’d know that. I just supported Chump less, that’s all. But hey, I guess you feel really proud that you had your nose buried in those orange cheeks. Now go to Mexico, build that wall for your Chump King, make sure that you’re on the south side of it while you’re doing so and don’t come back…because you’ll be considered an illegal at that point.
