On last night’s AZ Illustrated Politics: Host Jim Nintzel, former Tucson City Council member Carol West, former Pima County Democratic Party chairman Jeff Rogers and GOP strategist Sam Stone expressed amazement at Gov. Jan Brewer’s ability to push through Medicaid expansion and the state budget in a special session this week; talked about budget highlights; disagreed about the impact of changes to election law related to early ballots; charted the trajectory on immigration reform in Washington; agreed that Congressman Trent Franks made some dumb remarks about abortion and rape; blasted the racist and anti-gay tweets coming from the teenaged son of Sen. Jeff Flake; and sized up TUSD superintendent candidate H.T. Sanchez.

Some dumb remarks..eh? Not that most republicans actually disagree with Franks or Jeff Flake’s son, it was just dumb they came out and said them. I’m betting a good 60-75% of all republicans agree with both of them.
