Republican National Committeeman Bruce Ash had a hard time getting a word in edgewise against Democrat Paul Eckerstrom on last night’s Political Face Off on Arizona Illustrated.

But when he did talk, Ash got at least one fact wrong when he said that Giffords had voted in favor of the auto bailout. She actually voted against it.

  1. Thanks for the chortle Jim.

You failed to point out all of Paul’s yelling and ranting including the BIG whopper he told about Republicans who want to bury nuke waste at bottom of Grand Canyon. Are Eckerstrom’s pants on fire or are yours?

  2. As you know Bruce, Captain Al Melvin, esteemed Senator in Dist. 26 is the Republican I was referring to and he did say that we could solve our budget crisis by taking the nation’s radioactive nuke waste and store it in Arizona for a fee. Great idea. Have our kids exposed to radiation for a price. Typical, since he is willing to sacrifice their schools for tax cuts for the rich as well. He also had the bright idea that we could save money by having prisoners do the janitorial work at our schools. Kills two birds with one stone. Put our kids in danger from hardened criminals and put law abiding janitors out of work. A great thinker that Al Melvin, better than the founding fathers. Paul Eckerstrom
