Because nothing says “I am a reasonable human being” like bringing back the age-old tradition of lynching, people are using empty chairs as a way to protest against Barack Obama.

Just to reiterate: Lynching chairs that are meant to symbolize a black man.

Katherine Haenschen, the concerned citizen who brought this controversial metaphor to the public’s attention, says she reached out to the homeowner, Bud Johnson, to complain, but he was less than forthcoming about addressing her grievances.

“I don’t really give a damn whether it disturbs you or not,” Johnson reportedly told Haenschen. “You can take [your concerns] and go straight to hell and take Obama with you. I don’t give a shit. If you don’t like it, don’t come down my street.”

Well, at least he’s passionate. And unfortunately, he’s not alone. A second story was recently posted, indicating a similar chair lynching — this one with a sign attached to it that read “Nobama.”

Sigh.

  1. Other than fostering racial hatred and biggotry from those who are the most racist, what’s the purpose of this article? Missed that.

  2. Here’s a reason. If someone does something ignorant and hateful, it may be their constitutional right. But if they choose to avail themselves of that right, the rest of us should know about it, because, you know, ignorant and hateful. Forewarned is forearmed.

    Haters need to be called on their hate. Every time.

    To assist in the perpetuation of this “them against us theme is racist on its own, in my book.”
    Don’t see any empirical evidence presented in this article that someone was more racist than their brothers. Show me that, and might join you in your quest. Only racisim I see is 95 percent of blacks voting for Obama, and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce building I drive by frequently, (excludes all other races).

The teabaggers are increasingly desperate as they see the White House slipping from their grasp, and in their desperation their racism boils to the top, which will do nothing more than motivate Democrats to vote. No doubt, some are considering the “Second Amendment remedy” advocated by crazy Sharon Angle, so hopefully the President’s bodyguards will be increasingly vigilant.
