From the lack of activity in these Tucson Weekly blogs, you would think that there were no people in Tucson, or that people in Tucson do not have access to computers with web connections.
Come on, people. What, are you all writing on Craigslist’s graffiti walls? Where are the Tucson commenters? Spouting semi-literate garbage on the Arizona Daily Star web site? Or what?
I’d rather not have the StarNet crew here…
Be sure to check out our sister blog, scramblewatch.com, BTW.
Red Star hopes that things about ADS will keep the StarNet crew contained.
And here’s something interesting (nothing to do with ADS) from Andrew Sullivan, “Why I Blog” at:

It’s long, complicated for online attention span, sorta intellectual, and he doesn’t answer his question in one killer sentence…you’ll have to do some lifting. There’s room, though, for “something for everyone” even for fearful pitchers, and newspaper bloggers mourning the death of the pet rat.

Concerning the picture over the bar at the Backside.
My dad was the original owner of The Backside Saloon in downtown Tucson. He is still alive and kicking. Having worked at the Backside for several years I can tell you I do not remember the picture. I will go through old pictures to see if I can find anything. He sold the bar, I am not sure who to, but I will ask him. If I remember correctly it changed hands at least twice.

Thanks, Red Star! I’m gonna get the hang of this crazy Internet thing one of these days!
