Far and away Vonnegut was one of those amazing writers who influenced my generation almost beyond measure. His work reflected where we were at: fed up with an unjust war, feeling cheated by the American Dream and just a little absurd.
We read and reread and shared books and discussed this man of letters because he touched us in so many ways. Now they read him in lit classes! And so it goes.
I’m sorry to see his passing, but I know the path he left behind will go on forever.
Yes, one would almost think he was writing children’s books, so timeless they were.
