The airport can be the best place in the world if you some creativity and a background in lighting design. Richard Dunn was stuck at the McCarran International because he was bumped off two consecutive Delta Air Lines flights. Dunn had some time to kill, so he googled songs about being alone and came across some Celine Dion’s “All By Myself” track.
From CBC News:
“I thought, well I don’t have enough time to go to a hotel so what do I do? I’ve got my phone and an empty movie set, lets see what trouble I can get into.”
That trouble lead to a music video of him lip syncing to some Celine Dion in an empty airport. The video has received 7.1 million views since Monday. Talk about what some sadness and duct tape can do.

That was actually quite well done. If he was all by himself though, I’d like to know who the “camera person” was!!!
Every media outlet accepts the story – stuck alone in the airport. I find it much more likely that he planned this with a couple people and invented the story to make it interesting. Not only pans and zooms, but “too stable” indicating a mount for the camera.
Can anyone confirm the back story?
@cwwees. If you took the time to read the article, he found a roll of duct tape. And he used something like iMovie to make it look like he zoomed in and out. And probably used the moving walkway for the pans. Come on. It’s called creativity. Get it together. Common sense.
Yup, Mikey580, you’re right. Of course, I watched the video and made my comment BEFORE I read the article. Then I felt a bit stupid, but too late to rescind my comment.
