I enjoyed reading the evaluation of Hershberger vs. Melvin, as that is the district I vote in and so it’s fairly important to me. (The Democratic nominee is already wrapped up, so I’ll set that aside.) However, what I would like to know after reading the article is if any discourse was made in seeing what Hershberger has to say on Melvin’s view of the issues — not just what Melvin has attackatively said against Hershberger, followed up with Hershberger’s rebuttal or solution to the overall problem. It’s patently true that Hershberger is a healthy moderate alternative to the social conservativism of Cap’n Al, but what about Hershberger’s take on Melvin’s platforms? Any extra insight on this from the reporter’s notebook?
