On Friday, Jan. 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the YWCA Tucson, 525 N. Bonita Ave., some Tucson folks are starting their organizing early in reaction to the new Arizona governor’s proposed budget cuts to K-12 education and state universities. Oh, yes, and giving more to the Department of Corrections to spend on private prisons. Everyone is invited to what’s described as a planning meeting: parents, grandparents, faith based groups, elected officials, PTO’s—yep, everyone. The charade of 2015 played out all across the US is that because corporations/plutocrats get their stooge elected; it means he/she has a mandate from the people.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

We can’t stop people from voting against their own interests, but we can exercise our recall option, which we might well lose, but the effort is what will count ultimately
