Cookies for a Cause

I never thought Hugh Jackman and cookies had much in common, outside
of the fact that both are described as “delicious.” But that was before
a press release arrived to announce that Pepperidge Farm is auctioning
off a Jackman-autographed case of Aussie-style Tim Tam cookies to raise
money for Feeding America, a hunger-relief charity. Bidding takes place
at www.ebay.com/timtam through
Wednesday, May 13.

Chicken Soup for Charity

Pastiche Modern Eatery (3025 N. Campbell Ave.; 325-3333) has found a

$2 from the purchase of every bowl of chicken soup—and $1 from
each cup—to the Tucson Community Food Bank, which has been
saddled with increasing demands since the economy tanked.

Backyard BBQ

Grab a bib and a handful of napkins, and head down to a fundraiser
