Thelma Grimes of the Explorer newspaper assesses the temperament of Republican Ally Miller, who is facing Democrat Nancy Young Wright in the race to replace retiring Pima County Supervisor Ann Day:
However, after listening to Miller in several debates, her behavior with the press and her attacks on her opponent, there are so many red flags going up that one might wonder what she’s going to be like as an elected official.
This “Hulk angry” attitude she campaigns with will get old real fast once she’s in office and reality sets in.
Having seen Miller hulk-out as a result of our reporting, we have to agree with Thelma’s assessment.
Our favorite Miller moments here and here.

I cannot see how a person this confrontational can possibly work well with the other supervisors. This job is for getting the work done together, not for just allowing one supervisor or another be a drama queen (or king). I do not see how she can have complaints against Nancy Young Wright. Nancy has been working for years to help, both through community work as well as in elected office. She has worked hard to improve the environment and parks, worked hard on the school board doing her homework, and represented US in the legislature not just her party. Nancy will not rubber stamp any decisions without doing her homework and expecting those who make the proposals to do theirs. Nancy will obviously not vote just to please a special interest group but will do her research to make the best decision. It is dangerous being owned by any group, especially one like the tea party movement which seems to have hidden agendas from those who put up the money. As you can see, I cannot support Ally Miller. I enthusiastically support Nancy Young Wright.
Nancy Young Wright has always been a person with the ability to work cooperatively with adversaries and to focus on the end goal of making her community and state a better place.
Ally Miller is an example of the absolute opposite qualities. She is not the person who should win the District 1 supervisor’s position.
I will emphatically place my vote for Nancy Young Wright!
Ally is whiny and shrill.
Nancy Young Wright has a history of positive, community service and a cool head. We don’t need hot heads and prevaricators in county government.
