Tucson Museum of Art. 140 N. Main Ave. 624-2333. Continuing through August 18: Pre-Columbian Art from the Collection of Paul and Alice Baker. Continuing through August 18: Selections from the Collections, recent acquisitions including Western American art, ceramics from Asia, Mexico and the United States and Mexican folk art. Admission to the museum is $2 for adults, $1 for seniors and students, free for members and children under 12. Free for all on Tuesdays. CALL TO ARTISTS. The City of Tucson is renovating two branch libraries. Artist proposals are being accepted for public art for the Woods Memorial Library and the Valencia branch library. A pre-submission meeting for the Woods Library will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at 3455 N. First Ave. in the Community Meeting Room; pre-submission meeting for the Valencia branch is at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at 202 W. Valencia Road in the Community Meeting Room. CALL TO ARTISTS. The Downtown-Lohse Family YMCA invites Tucson artists to display artwork for a nine-month period in the Y facility in exchange for a nine-month YMCA membership. Submit up to four slides of recent artwork available for display from late-July 1996 to April 1997. Artwork must include sale price or value to be considered. CALL FOR ENTRIES. VideoLOCAL, encouraging the art of local video makers, is accepting entries for VideoTENSIONS, a presentation of works concentrating on a socio-political issue. Youth-produced media especially sought. Entries must be less than 25 minutes, completed after May 1994, and in VHS format. SHORT FILM FESTIVAL. AISF is seeking submissions for the Albany International Short Film Festival October 17 through 20. Films of all genres/styles are acceptable. Submissions must be 45 minutes or less and in 35mm, 16mm or video format. All winning films will be screened for the press, industry and public in New York City at the Third Annual Award Winning Shorts. Entry fee is $30, and deadline is July 5.
