ENVIRONMENT EARTH PLASTER WORKSHOP. An earth plaster workshop focusing on the use of earth, gypsum and lime plasters for both indoors and outdoors, is offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 13 and 14, at the Tucson Mountains Permaculture Center. The course will cover selections of surfaces, renovation, hands-on preparation and application and coloring/staining techniques. Cost is $100 and includes materials. The following neighborhood drop-off centers are open 24 hours daily: Cholla High School, 2001 W. 22nd St.; Booth-Fickett Magnet School, 7240 E. Calle Arturo; and Morrow Education Center, 1010 E. 10th St. All city and county landfills also have recycling centers. Call 791-5000 for hours and locations. The Tucson/Pima County hazardous waste disposal site at 2440 W. Sweetwater Drive is open from 8 a.m. to noon every Friday and Saturday for household waste disposal.
