CIVIC ORCHESTRA. Sabino High School Auditorium. 5000 N. Bowes Road. The Civic Orchestra of Tucson performs Sounds Symphonic at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1. MILLER TIME. TCC Ballroom. 260 S. Church Ave. The world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra performs at the TCC Ballroom at 8 p.m. Friday, February 27. NOONTIME RECITAL SERIES. St. Philip's In The Hills. 4440 N. Campbell Ave. St. Philip's Parish invites the community to enjoy their free Lenten Noontime Concert Series at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays through Lent. On February 26, tenor Wayne Glass performs; Ida Jo-Gates-Thorpe and Mary Lonsdale perform on March 5. Bring your lunch, sit in the garden and enjoy a little lunchtime music.

PRESIDENT'S CONCERT. Crowder Hall, located at the south end of the pedestrian underpass on Speedway east of Park Avenue. The UA School of Music presents the student winners of the concerto competition, Sponsored by the School of Music and Dance, at the UA President's Concert at 8 p.m. Saturday, and 3 p.m. Sunday, February 28 and March 1. Tickets are $6, $5 UA faculty and staff, and $3 for students and seniors. There is a scholarship luncheon at the Arizona Inn with entertainment provided by the School of Music Camerata groups, Bocal Soup and Half Dozen of the Other. Tickets for the luncheon are $40 ($20 tax deductible), which includes admission to the concert. Call Joe Swinson at 621-7023 for information.

SUNDAY JAZZ JAMS. Cottonwood Café. 60 N. Alvernon Way. The Tucson Jazz Society presents the revival of the Sunday Jazz Jam. The Ed Friedland Group performs on March 1. Performances are from 7 to 11 p.m. Admission is $4, $2 for TJS members. Call the TJS hotline at 743-3399 for recorded information.

THREE SOPRANOS. Unity Church. 3617 N. Camino Blanco. Southwest Music presents "The Three Sopranos" at 8 p.m. Friday, February 27. David Craig will accompany Barbara Pritchard, Stephanie Sikes and Lynne Smith for this recital of arias, art songs and show tunes. Admission is a $5 donation at the door.

ARIZONA FOLKLORE PRESERVE. 44 Ramsey Canyon Road, Hereford. 1-520-378-6165. Visit the Arizona Folklore Preserve, and enjoy songs and tales of Southeast Arizona with "Arizona's Official Balladeer," Dolan Ellis, at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, February 28 and March 1. FOOTHILLS WOMEN'S CHORUS. A group of women who love to sing, no auditions required, meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays in the Dove of Peace Lutheran Church, 665 W. Roller Coaster Road.
