a giant department store where every department is sports. Sports
clothing, sports shoes, sports equipment, sports souvenirs, sports...well,
you get the idea. This place is so big, they even have room to
stock things for minor sports, like baseball and soccer.
READERS' POLL RUNNER-UP: Play It Again Sports, with three
locations, has an interesting concept--using somebody else's discarded
stuff. If you want to try skiing but you're not yet all that thrilled
with the idea, get some stuff at half-price or better and the
savings can go toward your hospital bills. These places are packed
all the time, and you can always find some great bargains. Inside
tip: Look at the tennis racquets; good selection, super prices.
