Best Nature Shop

Tucson Audubon Society Bookshop
300 E. University Blvd.

STAFF PICK: Nestled in the historic West University neighborhood, the Tucson Audubon Society Bookshop is a pilgrimage would-be naturalists of all ages ought to make. Crammed from floor to ceiling with everything from $500 binoculars to refrigerator magnets depicting local bird life, books are just a fraction of what this charming little shop has to offer. It's a wonderful resource for kid-oriented, hands-on nature books and wildlife toys. For the adult naturalist, it carries a host of field guides and narratives oriented to outdoor life in Arizona. But more than anything, the bookshop is a place for birders. If you're looking for a bird guide, notices on upcoming avian events or good advice on keeping ants out of your hummingbird feeder, the Audubon Society Bookshop is the place.
