READERS' PICK: Okay, so we made a mistake in lumping these two concepts into one category. A chat group is a place for those of you who want to let out a primal scream the whole world can hear (if it's online). Or perhaps you're a bit milder, and merely want a forum for your opinion or feedback on an area of interest. In any case, newsgroups, chats, and mailing lists are a few places where interacting with others is easy and near-immediately gratifying. Apparently everyone has so much fun with this, we could discern no consensus from the readers' poll regarding a "best" local site. But the seemingly noteworthy (which, regrettably, arrived sans urls, leaving our anti-social and electronically challenged staffers unable to research them) were KUAT, the Police Mailing List, Vandella's, SBBS, Gay Tucson, Psycho Kitchen, RTD.COM, KTUC, CatChat, and DesertNet.
