Best Unusual Place To People Watch

Downtown Saturday Night

READERS' PICK: Downtown Saturday Night combines the essence of a small town festival with an urban setting, giving everyone from the Mod squad to the God squad a chance to see and be seen. Specialty shops, art galleries, street performers and theatre groups, as well as countless other curiosities (belly dancers to balloon artists) contribute to the sights and sounds that make this bi-monthly Downtown Arts District event our readers' favorite place to people watch. So strap on the leather, slip into the rubber (pants, that is), saddle up the Harley or put the kids in the sport utility vehicle and gravitate toward Congress Street to enjoy the free show every first and third Saturday of the month.

READERS' POLL RUNNER-UP: Fourth Avenue. See Best Annual Festival and Best Place To Soak Up Urban Ambiance for details.
