Best Best Way To Break Bread With The Community-At-Large

STAFF PICK: Volunteer Food Partners is a community-based food buying cooperative open to any member of the community who puts up $15 in cash or food stamps early in the month, makes a commitment to do two hours of volunteer work in the community, and turns up at his or her neighborhood distribution place to pick up the amazing parcel the last Saturday of the month. The money collected is pooled to purchase a vast array of groceries at rock-bottom prices. These are then divided among the thousands of Tucsonans who participate in the program.
