Best Café For The 21st Century

STAFF PICK: In the coming years, we're sure our out-of-the-way desert town will join the ranks of the electronic elite. But for now, there are only two places we know of where the desktop-challenged can hitch a ride into cyberspace: JavaLink, An Internet Café, 2921 E. Fort Lowell Road; and Library of Congress, the recently wired cybercafé inside the Hotel Congress, 311 E. Congress St. If you just want to jet in and take care of business, JavaLink is quick and efficient from its strip mall location in the Winterhaven Shopping Center. But if you want to hang out, order a fancy cocktail or mocktail, smoke lots of cigarettes and see yourself live on the Club Cam, you'll feel right at home in the Library. Whatever your Web-cruising or caffeine requirements, either place will make sure you're properly wired for the job.
