I am a firm believer that you should do the tasting yourself in order to decide. In order to like takis you have to first try them with a very open mind. You must be daring and open to palatal exploration ( if such a term exists). It is a combination of extreme sourness (lemon) and extreme salt and chili flavor. I recommend you take a small bite first. Savor it, to get your taste buds somewhat ready for what is to come. When it first touches your tongue you get this instant numbing like sudden burst of spicy chilli taste. To get the whole experience, you must be daring and continue to eat. You suddenly find yourself with a burning tongue, breathing rapidly through your mouth desperately trying to cool your tongue and you get a runny nose. You might even break a sweat. The taste can be addictive to some, yet others may never eat them again. The mere fact that you have not tried it already leads me to believe that you are not willing to risk your .50 and may not be daring enough to get out of your comfort zone. My advise is, live a little, try them. It may give you something to talk about for a week and it might give your co-workers a few laughs!
