Yogi Bear 3D
Do you hear that? It may be the sound of Justin Timberlake’s Oscar nomination for The Social Network flying out the window. Now, I’m not saying that providing the voice of Boo Boo in this bastardization of beloved cartoon has ruined his career; it’s just put a blemish there that’s gonna be hard to get rid of come nomination time. However, I will praise him for this film, because the only entertainment value it has is Timberlake’s spot-on impression. It’s so damn cute. The rest of the movie, though, is just downright wrong. An inept script, really bad voice acting and the total miscasting of Dan Aykroyd as the voice of Yogi had me praying for death throughout. It’s so bad that I’m now convinced there’s a special seat in hell for just about everyone who was involved … except, of course, Timberlake.
