World on a Wire

Set in a futuristic world of computers and mind-swapping, World on a Wire is one nutty mind-bender of a movie. It is about a death, a disappearance that no one believes actually happened, and a computer that puts one’s mind into someone else; it’s as if David Lynch were sent back to the ’60s to make a sci-fi thriller. Looks-wise, the film is reminiscent of The Prisoner. However, the visuals are the only reason to watch World on a Wire, because the plot is virtually impossible to comprehend. Also, the lead character keeps asking the same questions over and over again, which leads to extreme boredom—and the thing is 3 1/2 hours long
