Another year, another exquisite Warren Miller film. Although Miller himself retired several years ago—he is approaching 90, after all—the almost-annual offering to the altar of outdoor winter sports that bears his name keeps rolling along. The latest, playing at the Fox Tucson Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 3, is Like There’s No Tomorrow, and its high-energy approach will be very familiar to fans. The cinematography, as always, is flawless, with exquisite shots of some of the world’s finest skiers and snowboarders doing on purpose what the rest of us could never do accidentally. But the athletes aren’t the only stars; Like There’s No Tomorrow is a world tour of sorts, with India, the Andes, New Zealand and New Hampshire all serving as challenging backdrops for the action. Scintillating stuff.
