Special events are held every third Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. $8. June 16: A reception celebrates Desert Illusions, an exhibit of border-influenced art by Donna Reibslager. Music is provided by the Leila Lopez Band. Entomologist Eric Eaton presents "Pollination Down and Dirty," a talk about plant seduction. July 21, Horticulturist Scott Calhoun discusses Mexican agaves in a talk called "Provocative Succulents," and an artists' reception is held for an exhibit of works by David Tomb, Domingo DeGrazia and Beth Daunis. Aug. 18 is an after-hours exhibit of art by gardens staff with acoustic music by Audacia. Call for more information.
